Aethelrey 04 - Spoken Word

Oh England

Oh England, my England fair!
To many a man you've given birth,
Whose creations we proudly bear,
Sowing blazing fire and mirth!

Through Roger Bacon's glass we glimpse
Into castles, towers, and homes of wonder,
Of folks busy with crosswords by Wynne;
'Tis but a taste of our sea surging thunder!

Fear the first tank, fear the Shrapnel sound!
Hear the enemy blow from Wallis's bomb!
The soldiers march by the cheering crowd,
For such deeds cannot leave anyone calm.

Here's to you, my England dear,
You create and our souls you set
So that together we make it clear,
That never will we your glory forget!
